Salary starts at £17,600 to £19,100 per annum rising to £23,500 per annum (pro rata)
£9.00 per hour if you’d prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome new team within the Cornwall Mental Health Recovery Service. We’ll be supporting our brilliant customers to recover from their mental health diagnosis. The concept of recovery is about staying in control of their life despite experiencing a mental health problem.  

They live in a mental health recovery accommodation service, where we have 2 sites one in Camborne and one in St Austell. There’s a real homely feel to both services, both include 11 beds where customers have their own room and share facilities such as kitchen and bathroom. 

We help our customers by delivering a person centred support package to enable them to learn and develop life skills, manage their own risks and outcomes. We work in partnership with Adult Social Care (ASC), NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (NHSK), Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) and other local Mental Health Recovery Services, to develop a pathway of support for people with mental health problems in Cornwall. 

You’ll manage a caseload of customers, working closely with external agencies and our amazing team of Supported Living Workers to deliver person centred support.  We know that one size doesn’t fit all, so our customers lead their own support every step of the way. Together you’ll really make a difference, empowering our customers to achieve their goals and aspirations.

You’ll help our customers identify their aspirations and work with them to create plans that help them achieve these. You will also help your colleagues to deliver on the plans you have created to achieve excellence.

You will help shape our services, undertake risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.  It’s really important to us that you have time to what you are really passionate about; making a real difference to our customers lives.  So to free up your time, you’ll be given the latest IT kit, which could include a Surface Pro tablet and smart phone, supported by our new online integrated IT system.  We’ll you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!

About you

To flourish in the role, you will be a like-minded dedicated person who can demonstrate compassion, empathy and creativity in your approach and use your unique skills in enabling customers to reach their full potential. 
 
While we will show you how things are done the Home Group way, you will need to hold or be working towards your level 3 in Health and Social care. Maybe you might have an equivalent qualification. We would also be really pleased, if you have experience of administering medications in line with regulatory guidance. 

With previous experience of working with vulnerable people in a support or care environment, you will have a great understanding of professional boundaries, safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and be experienced in case management.  It’s also important that you can work in holistic way building partnerships with external agencies and that you have strong IT skills too.

If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
