We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join our Bromley or Leeds team on a full time, permanent basis.
What you will be doing?
Ideal candidate will be leading Sourcing projects and supporting Procurement colleagues on Strategic category wide initiatives. The role will require supporting the development of category strategies through the analysis of data and the gathering of intelligence, bringing together supplier, competitor and industry knowledge, and actively working to identify and drive opportunities that deliver commercial benefit.
Provide procurement support to projects including guidance regarding the procurement process. Leading discreet, low complexity sourcing initiatives using standard methodology
Support and facilitate the process of negotiating and compiling contractual documentation and providing advice regarding the financial sign off and purchase order process
Develop credible relationships with key business partners through procurement knowledge, commercial benefit and good communication. Focus on building own reputation and that of the procurement function.
Establish an effective network across relevant business functions. Influencing maximum take up of opportunities through the use of data analysis and market intelligence
Demonstrate consistent and optimum use of E-sourcing systems in all RFX activities and promote the use throughout Procurement and amongst partner network.
Act as single point of contact for support and use of E-sourcing systems on a day to day basis as well as providing support to Sourcing events.
Ensures governance to all Procurement governance processes including the Strategic Sourcing Approach. Maintain full compliance to all contract governance activities within agreed DLG processes and timescales.
Input to financial business case papers to support procurement activity and to illustrate commercial advantages and sourcing recommendations and seek input from relevant procurement and finance representatives.
Obtain through research and analysis financial information regarding an organisations performance including Dun & Bradstreet and other sources pertaining to credit rating and other relevant financial information.
Skills and qualities required
We are looking for an analytical thinker with great ability to navigate and interpret multiple data sources to support development of sourcing plans, negotiation plans and financial / market analysis.
Good commercial acumen and business awareness with some procurement experience, preferably with a relevant degree and or full / part CIPS qualified.
Some knowledge of Contracting, Financial Management and market analysis.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to work with complexity in multi-functional teams. Ability to quickly navigate organisational structures and deal with a broad range of departments on the relevant subject matter.
Working hours 35 hours per week Monday - Friday
