Starting salary £33,500 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Development Manager to join our award winning Development team.  Did you know we’re winners of the Housing Awards Development Programme of the Year 2018 and shortlisted for 2019?

You'll join us in identifying and winning new land and development opportunities for your region, supporting our strategic priority to build 10,000 new homes over five years.  You’ll be sourcing land, development and leading on partnering with a focus on identifying mixed tenure opportunities to deliver new affordable and private sale homes.  You'll lead projects from identification up to concept design stage including planning submission and the completion of legal agreements.  You’ll work collaboratively to ensure an effective handover to delivery colleagues.

A bit about you
With a passion and drive to win new business, you’ll be well networked and connected with a range of private and public sector partners.  You’ll have a professional qualification in planning, urban design, surveying, building, or a related field along with previous experience with another housebuilder, developer, consultancy or housing association.  You’ll really impress us with your knowledge of the commercial aspects and development pressures relating to housing developments in the region, along with the key planning challenges for the housing sector.  You’ll have a track record of working with local authorities and the statutory planning system to deliver projects.
We need you to travel to sites so you need to be able to drive with access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
